Student Attendance Grant (formerly Student Travel Award)
Between student loans and tight budgets, most students might think it impossible to attend a professional conference. But there’s help! SETAC student members can apply for a Student Attendance Grant, which provides financial support for students planning to present their research at SETAC North America annual meetings.
Students can apply for the Student Attendance Grant when they submit an abstract during step 4 when providing “Submission Details.” International applicants are welcome. The submission deadline is 12 June.
In 2019, 149 students received financial support to attend the annual meeting. Visit the SETAC website to learn about requirements and limitations, application materials and information about the evaluation process.

Don’t miss out on your chance to gain the experience and exposure that comes from attending and presenting at a SETAC meeting:
- Stay on top of cutting-edge research while learning about topics that interest you
- Meet leading scientists. (You might have read their work. Wouldn’t it be cool to actually meet them?)
- Present your research to the people who matter in your field
- Connect with students and professionals in your areas of interest
